Club Rules for RacersGarageSale.com

Right now you can join the RacersGarageSale.com Club for free.

By completing the following application for membership, you agree to the following Club rules:

1.        Only racers, crew/team members, car owners and racing industry members can join our Club.

2.        At this time, the only people who can join the Club must be from the 48 contiguous United States (due to shipping
reasons).

3.        It is our goal at RacersGarageSale.com to bring buyers and sellers together in a fair, accurate, fun and effective way so
that sellers can connect directly to their target market of buyers; and that buyers can find what they need from other racers
they can trust…which leads us to the next step:

4.        The seller is responsible for sending RacersGarageSale.com correct and factual information about the item they want to
sell on the website. Any misrepresentation of an item sent to us is subject to the seller being kicked out of the Club. We will
not tolerate any dishonest activity on this site.

5.        Once you submit your item to us (on the ‘Sell Your Item page), we will create your ad and get it posted on the
appropriate page(s) of our website. We will also provide you with feedback if we feel there is something your ad needs to help
it sell better (such as better pictures, a different selling price or more details needed). We will also be posting ads to drive
potential buyers to this site to view your items.

6.        When your item sells, the seller is responsible for the shipping or delivery cost to get the item from the seller’s location
to the buyer’s location. We only allow Club members from the contiguous United States. So please take this shipping cost into
consideration when your price your item for sale.

7.        You only have to pay for our services when your submitted item sells on our website. Our commission rates on sold
items are as follows:
  a.        Selling price range of $199 or less; our commission rate on sold items is 20%. (With a $10 minimum.)
  b.        Selling price range of $200 to $499; our commission rate on sold items is 15%.
  c.        Selling price range of $500 to $999; our commission rate on sold items is 12%.
  d.        Selling price range of $1,000 to $4,999; our commission rate on sold items is 10%.
  e.        Selling price range of $5,000 to $9,999; our commission rate on sold items is 8%.
  f.        Selling price range of $10,000 to $49,999; our commission rate on sold items is 5%.
  g.        Selling price range of $50,000 and up; our commission rate is 2%.

8.        Due to the minimum commission of $10/item sold, if you have smaller priced items, we suggest you ‘gang’ items
together to make it worth your while. For example, if you have four items that you feel should sell for $25 each, we would
suggest you sell all four for $100 instead.

9.        When a buyer purchases your part on our website (with any credit/debit card), the payment goes into a holding account
at RacersGarageSale.com, less a credit card processing fee of approximately 3% (which is common).

10.        At that point, we will forward the seller an email that their part has sold, and we will remove the item from the website.
We will also provide the buyers shipping information to the seller at that point in time.

11.        Now it is the seller’s responsibility to ship (or arrange for delivery if buyer is local) the sold item to the buyer.

12.        The seller must provide tracking information to RacersGarageSale.com and the buyer at that time via email.

13.        From the moment the tracking number is known (meaning the part has been shipped), the buyer has 7 days from that
date to dispute any claim regarding the item purchased.

14.        If the item has been delivered or the buyer has acknowledge receipt of the item prior to 7 days then the seller will
receive there portion before the 7 days is up. In other words if the seller buyers your item and you deliver it to them, the
buyer simply has to email Tyler@RacerGarageSale.com to let us know they have received the item in good working condition
and we will release the funds to the seller at that time.

15.        After 7 days from shipment, if there is no dispute from the buyer on the item purchased, the selling price less the
credit card processing fee and our commission will be emailed to the buyer via PayPal.


15A.      Here's an example. Let's say you sell an item for $300. There will be a credit card processing fee of approximately $9
(about 3%), which leaves $292. At the $300 sales level, there is a 15% commission; which would be $43.80 ($292 x .15) = $248.20
would go to the seller as proceeds from the sale.


16.        If the seller does not have or want a PayPal account (which is free to set up at www.PayPal.com), the seller can request
their payment be sent via mail as a check from RacersGarageSale.com.

17.        After 7 days from shipment, the buyer has no recourse on the item purchased from the seller. So it is important that the
buyer inspect their purchase immediately upon receipt.

18.        If there is a problem with the item received by the buyer during that 7 day period, you must email RacersGarageSale.
com at: Tyler@RacersGarageSale.com with details of the item purchased and what is wrong with it so we can contact the seller
for more information to get the problem resolved.

19.        This process will ensure that the item the seller is representing is honestly being shown on the website, as they will
not get paid until the buyer receives the item as shown. This process also protects the seller as they know the item they are
shipping has been paid for before they ship it to the buyer.

20.        RacersGarageSale.com reserves the right to adjust its policies shown on this page as they see necessary. Changes in
policy will be posted on this page and any major change in policy (such as changes in commission structure) will be emailed to
Club members when such changes occur.

21.        For big ticket items, such as race haulers, trailers; etc. There is a simple and straight forward procedure that is slightly
different than a normal parts purchase on the site. The ‘add to cart’ amount of those items shown will be the deposit required
to hold that item you wish to purchase. The buyer has 21 days to complete their purchase with the buyer or they will lose their
deposit. If during that 21 day period the buyer completes their purchase of the item, they owe the seller the selling price less
their deposit amount. If during the 21 day period, the buyer inspects the item and changes their mind and does not want to
purchase it, they must contact RacersGarageSale.com via email at: Tyler@RacersGarageSale.com and their deposit will be
refunded in full. If after 21 days the buyer has yet to contact the seller to complete their purchase, the buyer will forfeit their
deposit and RacersGarageSale.com will forward ½ of the received deposit amount from the seller as a holding fee – since
they couldn’t sell the item to another potential buyer during that time frame.

22.        Items that are too large to ship via UPS, for example, will be listed as 'pick up or local delivery' with a general area of
the item shown in the ad listing. For example, race haulers, chassis, pit equipment like a pit box, etc.; would fit this description.
Once the item is sold the buyer and seller can work out delivery or pick up arrangements.
